The 101S series load-sensing fully hydraulic steering system is a cost-effective steering control solution for agricultural machinery, construction machinery, and special vehicles. 1. Installation Points

During installation, tighten the connecting bolts to the specified torque value and apply appropriate thread-locking adhesive to prevent loosening due to vibration. If the rocker arm position needs adjustment during installation, first remove the corresponding steering limiter adjusting screw on the steering gear. After adjustment, reinstall with a torque of 12±3 N·m. Throughout the entire operation, strictly avoid introducing foreign objects into the steering gear. Before connecting the hydraulic lines, ensure the pipeline is clean and free of impurities, and that the oil viscosity meets system requirements.
2. System Configuration
The 101S series steering gear can be used with a fixed displacement pump, a constant pressure multi-displacement pump, or a load-sensing pump (a variable pump with combined flow and pressure compensation) to form different configurations of load-sensing hydraulic steering systems. Plate-mounted models (e.g., 101S-5, 101S-5L, 101S-5E) can be used with PVF* type priority valves via plate-mounted connection; pipe-mounted models (e.g., 101S-5T) must be used with DYXL or YXL type priority valves via pipe-mounted connection, and the system safety valve must be located on the priority valve. During installation, please strictly follow the product drawings and instructions for pipe connection.
3. Operating Precautions
When the steering wheel is turned, the valve core rotates a small angle, the spring is pressed down, causing the valve sleeve to rotate. The valve core and valve sleeve separate at a certain angle, thus connecting the oil circuit. The linkage shaft drives the rotor in the stator to rotate, delivering hydraulic oil proportional to the steering wheel angle to the flow amplification valve. When rotation stops, the spring causes the valve sleeve and valve core to automatically return to center, closing the oil circuit. Before starting the system, check the oil level and bleed the pipes to prevent air from entering and causing steering lag or instability.

1. Heavy Steering
Possible Causes: Insufficient hydraulic oil or air in the hydraulic system; clogged reservoir filter; malfunctioning oil pump regulating valve; damaged power steering piston sealing ring or valve body radial sealing ring groove center sealing ring; excessive valve clearance or improper closure.
Troubleshooting Steps: Check oil level and add oil → Clean filter → Bleed air → Check oil pump and seals. Replace damaged seals immediately.
2. Oil Leaks at Steering Gear Joints
Common oil leakage points include the joints between the valve body, diaphragm, stator, and rotor, as well as the journal or relief valve seal.
Repair Methods: For oil leaks at joints, replace the seal, clean the joints, or tighten bolts; for damaged journals or relief valve seals, replace the corresponding seals directly.
3. Unresponsive Steering or Unstable Power Steering
Possible Causes: Air in the hydraulic system; worn internal steering gear parts causing increased clearance; blocked LS signal hydraulic system or abnormal pressure signal.
Troubleshooting Steps: Exhaust air → Clean the oil circuit → Check if the LS oil port pressure signal is normal → If internal wear is severe, disassemble and repair or replace the steering gear.
4. Maintenance Tips
After disassembly and cleaning, check the gears and rack for wear and damage, and the housing for cracks. Note: Parts on the steering gear must not be welded or straightened; they must be replaced. It is recommended to simultaneously check the thrust bearing, sector gear shaft, and needle roller bearing during maintenance. If damage, dents, rust, or cracks are found, replace them immediately. If internal damage is severe, it is recommended to replace the entire steering gear to ensure system safety.
