When the Motor Orbital BMR experiences oil leakage, it not only wastes hydraulic fluid and increases operational costs but also pollutes the work environment and accelerates internal component wear. In severe cases, it can lead to motor failure and equipment shutdown. HANJIU Company identifies the three most common leakage points in the Motor Orbital BMR and provides solutions to help you promptly detect and correctly resolve issues.


The first common leakage point is the shaft end, which is the most frequent source of oil leaks. This is primarily caused by aging or worn shaft end seals, or scratches and deformation on the shaft journal. Symptoms include visible oil seepage from the shaft end when the motor shaft rotates. The solution is relatively straightforward: first disassemble the motor shaft end components, clean impurities from the shaft journal surface, and replace with compatible original manufacturer seals. If the shaft journal is scratched, it can be repaired by grinding. Reassembly will effectively resolve the oil leakage issue.


The second common leakage point is the end cover. This is often caused by loose end cover bolts, aged or damaged gaskets, or insufficient machining precision of the end cover. Oil leakage typically occurs at the joint between the end cover and the motor housing, and may also seep out when the motor is stationary. To address this, first tighten the end cover bolts and inspect the gasket condition. If the gasket is aged or damaged, replace it with an OEM part. Simultaneously, clean contaminants from the joint to ensure a tight seal. If the end cover has insufficient machining precision, perform leveling to prevent excessive gaps that cause leakage.

The third common leakage point is the mating surface between the motor stator and housing. This is primarily caused by contaminants on the mating surface, uneven application of sealant, or deformation of the mating surface. Oil leakage manifests as a ring of oil stains around the mating surface, and in severe cases, dripping may occur. The solution involves disassembling the motor, cleaning contaminants from the mating surface, and evenly applying compatible sealant without bubbles or gaps. During reassembly, tighten bolts to the specified torque to prevent uneven stress distribution that could create gaps.


When users encounter oil leakage issues, while the aforementioned methods can provide temporary solutions, eliminating leaks at their root requires selecting a motor orbital BMR with a superior sealing system.
